Ever been exhausted? Just plain done? Elijah had just experienced being mightily used against the prophets of Baal, but most importantly to Glorify God as the one and only true God. He was in the depths of fatigue and discouragement and fleeing for his life. God strengthened him to not give up and to carry on his call. Elijah thought he was all alone. Ever felt like the last man standing? Like you had no one and the cards were stacked against you?
Yet I preserve 7,000 in Israel, all knees that have not bowed to Baal or kissed him (1 Kings 19:18)
Perception can seem like truth. Elijah was not alone. He was not the last man standing.
When we look too long at ourselves and our situation, our perspectives change. We begin believing our circumstances. Make a meal of His Word and let Him shine His light on the matter. He’s not finished with you yet.
